Enlisted in the 1/4th Bn October 1914

Stationed at Bedford and went to France with the Battalion on 15th February 1915.

Participated in action at Bellewaarde and in Ypres sector 1915.

Wounded in action at "High Wood" on 22/23rd July 1916.

Hospitalised in Rouen(France) and at Netley Hospital, Southampton

Invalided out of the army 30th March 1917.

and his name was entered in the Memorial Book in November 2002.
